I was a little under two years old when I sat on a pony for the first time.

A day of apple picking wasn't complete without a pony ride around the corn field and as soon as my bum hit the saddle... Well, I guess you could say I grabbed the reins and haven't looked back since!

After begging for years, I finally started lessons at 8 and quickly developed an ambition to become a successful rider and full time "barn rat."

By the time I was about 12, I started riding extra ponies at the lesson barn that were "less desirable" so they would stay fit and I could have

extra time in the saddle! I learned to ride everything and how to fix problems when they arised. The feeling that I accomplished a goal with an animal by sticking with it and being patient was rewarding- in which birthed my love for training!
At 14, I was getting paid to ride peoples horses in need of conditioning and there was always a shortage of people crazy enough to hop on the unbroke ones for $15 and a cheeseburger.
At 17, I bought my first horse for $1. A giant, 10yr old, Percheron X mare that was so green she would put AstroTurf to shame. I trained and supported her myself by mucking stalls and working as a waitress at Friendly's. She transformed into a wonderful horse and went on to compete at HITS.

After graduating High School, I received a working student position for 88' Olympic Event Rider; Phyllis Dawson in VA. I lived in "Little House" with 4 other girls from different parts of the world and worked like crazy, rode and competed for a year. Over this time, many useful skills were acquired, along with a wealth of knowledge and more life lessons than school could ever teach.

I continue to ride, train, teach, compete and constantly improve & expand my knowledge in multiple disciplines as learning is a never ending journey.
I work with multiple horses, owners, students and other equine professionals every day!

I love seeing my clients' transformations.
The best part of what I do is seeing both my students' and horses'
progress, growth and happiness!

Take only a step at a time & little by little you will find yourself reaching the goals in life that you were meant to achieve.
